Chasing Caitlyn
Yes, darling. Keep clicking those buttons. You’re giving me what I want. How kind of you to build my case for me. Not that I need this additional indiscretion. I’ll have our divorce papers sent to you very soon.
He could pretend he was working hard, but I knew Jeremy. Maybe he was answering a few work texts, but the ones where his eyes brightened, bringing out his devilish grin, did not work. It was her. I say to her like there is just one. One woman is never enough for Jeremy.
Jeremy likes the chase. I was the last one…the one he finally caught. The one he decided was worthy of him. I was enough of a trophy to marry.
Jeremy sat on his monstrous leather chair while I chose a loveseat across from him. I love seats…far from one.

Marnie Cate
Marnie Cate is a writer of coming-of-age and urban fantasy novels. Born in an Irish mining town in Montana, she always had a flair for the dramatic and a vivid imagination. She spent her childhood lost in the elaborate worlds she created with the help of her dolls.
One day, Marnie Cate was struck by a powerful image. This seed created the world of Starten, the complicated world of goddesses, and their touch on the mortal world.
Inspired by the actress Dame Judi Dench, she pursued her dream of sharing the stories brewing in her mind. She wrote in every spare moment with the urging of friends and family.
After countless weekends at the local coffee shop typing away and people-watching, Marnie finished her first novel, Remember: Protectors of the Elemental Magic. With the world of elemental magic and the humans they lived in released, the stories have just begun.
In addition to the Protectors series, Marnie has written her first women’s literature books with A Broken Girl Collection. Chasing Caitlyn and Forgiving Ginger dives into how life’s pain shapes us and how we can break the mould.
When she is not writing, Marnie enjoys reading, coffee, and spending time with her family. She lives in Arizona.
